The top United Nations envoy to Iraq today strongly condemned a string of deadly bombings in the country, calling them "reprehensible crimes that have indiscriminately targeted ordinary Iraqis."
According to media reports, the blasts, which occurred both yesterday and today in the capital, Baghdad, and the northern city of Kirkuk, have claimed dozens of lives.
Staffan de Mistura, the Secretary-General's Special Representative, <"http://www.uniraq.org/newsroom/getarticle.asp?ArticleID=1040">extended the UN's condolence to the families of the victims and sent wishes for the full and speedy recovery of the wounded.
